1904 - Willie, "the terrible," under grandma's care for a few days in the country. (Small boy with geese and ducks, with reflection in pond.)
5 sections on the geese were cut out for movement here. Then they were cut out again in the reflections and lined up to match the animation on the top. Then my brain exploded.
I would have liked to animate the ducks to the left, but the wiggle is so strong there I don’t think it would have been very realistic.

1934-39 - Egypt. Pyramids of Gizeh. The Great Pyramid. Reflecting pyramid & mounted camelman.
I’m like the effect created by a reflection, it somehow makes the image seem more 3-D. View the original here. Find out how these are created here.

I prefer not to do much clean up work, I want the photographs to remain an honest representation of what they are today - scratches and all. However, occasionally I plan to make exceptions like this one, especially when a photo is closer to art and landscape than a document of more historical value (such as Lincoln, a civil war event, a portrait, etc.). I’d like to think this is a more accurate representation as how the photo would have appeared brand new. Lovely place.
1904 - Nature's cup of beauty filled to overflowing with the crystal waters of the Yosemite Valley, Cal.
