1889 - The Johnstown Calamity - A slightly damaged house

Apparently sarcasm isn't a new thing...

The Johnstown Calamity was a massive flood in Pennsylvania caused by a dam breaking from heavy rainfall. 2200 people died. It was the first major disaster that the Red Cross tended.
